upcoming music videos + new camera package!
Friday, May 8th, 2009I’m shooting a music video this Saturday in my old Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn for THE METERMAIDS. The shoot should be a fun time. It’s the least organized and most relaxed shoot I’ve planned in years, and is more geared towards throwing a party rather than doing a shoot. There’s basically no crew at all to speak of and we’re all planning on just getting crazy together and filming some stuff. I’ll post that up when it’s done and am hoping it’ll be fun to watch as well.
My good friend Will Robertson and I are working on an upcoming video for PEELANDER-Z, which is an awesome and crazy band that deserves a crazy, high-concept video that will probably take quite some time to complete. But I’m hoping it’ll be worth the effort.
It’s been a long time since I’ve directed my last music video, which was the one I did with Sam Goetz for MATES OF STATE back in 2004 or something, and the last one I shot was for POISON, which was also kind of crazy, so I’m happy to be doing it again.
I’m also currently in post-production on THE ERGS! last show DVD, which documents the pop-punk band’s last show ever, which took place at Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park, NJ.
In other news, I just threw down lots of cash to finally get my own camera rig. I got a fully loaded Sony CineAlta EX3 camera with support, etc. I’ve been shooting with it a lot these days so I thought I’d finally pick one up rather than renting it every week. So if anyone wants to shoot a fun project or documentary, hit me up!
In the meantime, let’s enjoy this recession together!
